A beautiful Sunday another example of God's power

I woke this morning about 6:20 AM then went down to McDonald’s for the usual coffee. It’s always nice to see the group there and the banter and the chatter although not always refreshing is generally always welcome. It’s a gorgeous day outside although there is the potential for rain this afternoon as a matter of fact, thunderstorms are predicted. But as with all Oregon weather it is a matter of pure speculation. I have a race to watch today this will be the first race with Dale Earnhardt Junior’s new crew chief, I am excited for him. Later this afternoon I will consider mowing the yard’s. This morning, I tried out my egg rings, and they really work well, the eggs did not stick and were cooked perfectly... that may be a testimonial to my culinary abilities, or not!

A very nice day, much to do

I woke early this morning and went down to McDonald’s for coffee. Ralph was already there and soon the others came in. Big Del was telling me that he could not get his pickup started so he was going to have to cancel the trailer rental that he would have used to pick up a hammer mill in Eugene. After coffee, I decided to go down to the Elks club and see if the Saturday market was running. There were about a half a dozen vendors there, nothing special. Ralph was there buying some pastry. I bought a package of four peanut butter cookies. Back home now took my medications, put the bedding in the dryer, and getting ready to wash the pickup.

What a lovely Friday.

I woke this morning to sunshine streaming in the bedroom window. What a grand way to start the weekend. Off to coffee and after a invigorating session of nonpolitical discussion about non-interesting subjects I left to deliver meals. After delivering meals I stopped over at Linn Benton community center and paid my tuition of $24 for the upcoming Photoshop elements one course. The course will start on June 23 and run for five weeks meeting each Tuesday night from six until 9 PM. I asked the receptionist today, if there would be a follow-on course and she indicated that there would be. Domestically, today I need to dust and vacuum and probably clean the big mirror. None of which is appealing.

It's a beautiful Thursday going to be warm though.

Woke up this morning before six, decided to get out of bed and go down and have coffee. The 5 AM bunch was just leaving. Shortly after I got there Ralph came in. He brought in some pictures of a motorcoach that he is thinking about buying, it’s 42 feet long. I worry a little bit about him driving a vehicle that big. I was down to 16 clients today... it seems to vary almost daily. Debbie and her Mother are coming to do the yard work today, and I will give her the seeds for the flowers I’d like planted.

Wednesday morning and it's overcast

I really wanted to stay in bed this morning, but knew if I did I would be tired all day. So I got up and got dressed, then went down to McDonald’s for my usual coffee. It is supposed to be warm today about 82°. I hope it reaches that but I have a feeling it will be humid. I need to go to Corvallis, to the Kinko store and pick up my printing. They said it would be ready by 11 AM. Not too bad a price about $18 to have it printed and bound. I might go to Philomath, and see Melissa.

It will be a short week (today being Tuesday)

Well it’s a beautiful morning and after having coffee at McDonald’s I headed down to the senior center to deliver meals. I have a new client today bringing my total to 19. On the way home I stopped at bi-Mart, to check my member number, and of course it wasn’t selected. I bought two more trellises for the back fence, that should be all I need for now. Here’s hoping that each and every one of you have a great work week.

Memorial day

Well I woke up this morning a little earlier about 6:15 AM and decided to go down to McDonald’s for coffee. The usual list of suspects were there and we all had a good chat. I came home and made an English muffin for breakfast and a cup of hot chocolate. Afterwards I decided to get out the pressure washer and do a little cleaning around the home. It started right up even with two year old gas. I am done with that for now, I was going to spray some bleach on the algea, but the sprayer had developed a leak so I will need to buy a new one at Wal-Mart. My dear friend, Leann, wrote me an e-mail explaining to me that she felt the fact that I was so much older than her that she didn’t want to maintain a close relationship which I had considered just friends. It amazes me how people put restrictions on who qualifies or who might make a good friend. I think she would make a good friend but obviously she wants a good friend who is much younger than I. She is a very nice lady and she deserves to have happiness in her life I for one hope she finds it. I am not sure what the rest of the day might hold, I don’t have any real plans, I may perhaps rent a movie. To each and every one of you I wish a most happy Memorial Day.

A beautiful Sunday is here today.

Well here we are in the middle of the Memorial Day weekend, the weather has been very cooperative what with temperatures in the mid-70s and clear blue skies after a little bit of morning cloudiness. After coffee at McDonald’s this morning I decided to take Ralph to Shirley Mays for a breakfast. Once again I picked up the tab. And after the breakfast we went road farming. The driving was nice but there’s always someone who follows to close and is in a bigger hurry than you are. Even so we had a nice time driving through the countryside. It made me yearn for a place in the country. Perhaps a couple Billy goats would be in my future. (Not likely!).

The first of three days off... I hope the weather holds...

I got up later this morning it was 7:30 AM then I got dressed and went down to McDonald’s for coffee. While I was down there I had a chance to speak with Maria and she asked me if I had written the lady that she gave me the e-mail address of and I told her that I had. When I came home I noticed that my neighbor was having a garage sale, I went over and looked around but found nothing that interested me. Some clouds in the sky today which surprised me somewhat. I hope that we have blue sky for the whole weekend, as many people have made plans for the long weekend. I have not decided yet what I will do this weekend perhaps take in a movie. Anyhow I hope each and everyone who reads this has a great weekend with wonderful weather and gets together with family and friends.

Friday... the end of the week the beginning of Memorial Day.

I woke up about 5 AM this morning thinking about my memoirs at about 5:45 AM I got out of bed and decided to go to coffee at McDonald’s. After the usual banter at McDonald’s I was off to the senior center to deliver meals. The sky has clouded up some so I don’t know how the rest of the day will end. Hopefully it will clear off this afternoon and get a lot warmer. My wishes are for each and every one of you to have a great Memorial Day weekend. I think I’ll go to Albany and take in a movie. Oh, here is a film from youtube about waterboarding... enjoy!!

Thursday and beautiful.

Coffee at McDonalds then off to deliver meals... after that I went to the health food store and got some Biotin to see if it really will make a difference and then stopped at Sears to check on an electric trimmer for the grass. After checking their prices i took off to Wal★Mart to check on trimmer prices there, I also had a 8x10 enlargement of my photo made. Decided I didn’t like what Wal★Mart had to offer so on the way back home I stopped at Bi-mart and theirs were the same as Wal★Mart so I decided to get the one at Sears. Back home now, the trimmer works pretty good too. I also purchased an extra reel of cutter rope for it. This is just another test of dictate to see how it works in the application MacJournal. It actually works very well but a few times I will have to correct the spelling.

Ralphy is visiting today

Coffee at McDonalds then picked up Ralphy at Julie’s place. It is a nice day out today and Ralphy looks good with his haircut. He amazes me with how puppy like he can still be a times. I got the compressor out of the shed and at first it didn’t want to run but after hitting the reset button all is well. Debbie and Anna will be here this afternoon to put in their hour of weeding... my thought is that they will make a lot of progress. I cleaned out Ralphy’s water bowl both inside the house and the one in the garage and refilled them with fresh cold water. He is in process of napping now.

Wet and wild... well at least wet..

Coffee at McDonalds. I was thinking as I was drinking coffee that my head seemed to get cold during the night... one would not expect that, but it at least seemed that way to me. Down to 17 clients today, but it will likely be up on Thursday again.. they come and go. Rained overnight and during the deliveries today but I think that the rain is supposed to subside this afternoon and tomorrow is supposed to be nice again. Debbie and Anna will be here to weed. I paid Debbie today.

Monday... the grueling week begins NOW.

Coffee at McDonalds then off to deliver meals, the furthest out are the Bushes and they were gone today so my route was shorter. Came home and decided to redecorate the mortagee a little bit, with the help of a razor (which I had to sharpen on a stone) and some shaving lotion... a new person emerged... comments welcome.

A nice day..

Today I awoke to the painful truth that my back is not better but still hurts, even just to bend over to put on my shoes is painful... Funny thing is, yesterday I really didn’t do much, just washed the Mini and the Toyota. It doesn’t take much at all and the pain becomes very prominent. Finally I can appreciate the pain that my father must have felt with his back. All I can say is “Damn the Ignorance of youth”. It was when I was young and stronger that I probably damaged it. Although, my Doctors, when in the Navy, told me that I have ‘Degenerative Bone Disease of the Spine“, I believe that to be a form of Arthritis. Oh well, I will deal with it... that and the gravel in my neck. What happened to that I am not sure. Ok, that is the end of the complaining. Off to coffee soon then back home to mow the yards.. Yep, that should surely help things.

Sunshine abounds... chores calls and destiny awaits...

I awoke to a beautiful morning, filled with sunshine and high expectations. Off I went to McDonald's for my normal coffee hour. After banter and fun, at 7:45 I’d had enough and headed back home. Once there, I cleaned up the kitchen dishes and counters and to my dismay discovered that I probably need to do a little deeper cleaning as cooking residue coats my trinkets in the window sill. I will wash the vehicles today as it is needed, I have the only load of washing in the washer now and once it’s done, I will put them in the dryer and that will be it for clothes. I am curious as to what today will bring, I do need to get a pot and some black gold soil for my girlfriend... you wish you knew don’t you??? It’s not what you think though, I’ve not the time or ambition to support a relationship or at least that is what I keep telling myself. Sadly though, I hate living alone.

Friday... thank you dear Lord for Friday...

Coffee at McDonalds then deliveries... stopped at Tony’s place and picked up my girl. Back home now, cleaned the shredder I got from Tori then inside to pay the bills. That’s all done now. Beautiful day outside, on the way home I talked to a landscape maintenance guy, he will be giving me a estimate to de-thatch and reseed my lawns.

Thursday, some rain some sun...

Coffee at McDonalds then off to deliver meals, I had 20 clients today and frozen and soup too... a busy time. Stopped at Popeyes chicken and got a 9 pc bucket for $7.99 and that should do for a couple days. Stopped in to see Cecil and left under a cloudy mood... I wish I could get him to quit wearing his muddy shoes on the carpet... perhaps a broken leg would suffice??

Another week in the making...

Woke at 6 and up at 6:30. Coffee at McDonalds then off to the Meals on Wheels center for my deliveries... I had 21 clients today so that made for a full day. Back at the center by 11:30 then stopped in at McDonald's and grabbed what I have to term as the worst burger in town... I swear that the only good sandwich they make is the sausage egg muffin. Arby’s come to Lebanon... please !!! The day has been good weather wise although there were a sprinkle and just a sprinkle about 10am. Sunny with most of the sky covered in ominously dark clouds alluding to the fact that rain lurks not too far in the distance...

A beautiful Sunday...

Well, up early, greeted the Lord and then Coffee at McDonalds. After the usual banter, back home, mowed the yards and cleaned off the carport then dumped the grass. Oh, actually I dismantled the old swingset and put the metal in the Chevy for later disposal. Today is Mothers day so Mom, I remember you and I miss you too. I hope that all families that have a mother that is still living will take the time to honor them for the sacrifices both known and unknown that they made so that you may be here today...
