November 20, 2011 8:33 AM There is no mountain this morning…

I woke up about 7 or so but then dropped back off to sleep and after playing around with got up about 8:15 AM. I’m not sure what the temperature is outside but it looks cold I know that.
I told Laura that I don’t want to leave the house today at all, not to go to church not to go to Walmart or mega-foods just want to stay home.
I don’t think I have any pumpkin filling or cherry filling with which to make a pie.
I would like to bake a pie in our kitchen I want to know how to make the pie dough and such. From what I have read, the fat and butter and water need to be really cold, that will turn out a flaky pie crust.
We had lunch, I had some toast.
Been investigating the pie crust stuff, considering making a pie or two tomorrow to teach Nora how to make pie crust...
Watched the ending Nascar Sprint cup race… Stewart and Edwards tied for the finish and Stewart won by virtue of chase wins… Congrats to Tony !!!
The broiled Pork chops were cooked on the Breville but I think that they would have been better had we cooked them in a pan, seared on high heat and finished either in the oven or lower heat on the stove.
I have been thinking about ending the online posting of my daily routines as it is at times a little too revealing and I just don’t believe it is anyone else’s business anymore… So if you don’t see updates, don’t worry, I am still keeping my journal daily, just not letting you see it.
So with that said… Ciào !!
Done for the
 time being...

November 19, 2011 8:16 AM Saturday morning and only 39°… but no snow.

We slept pretty well last night, Nora did not have one over restless nights, and seemed to sleep quite well.

We woke up a little after 7 AM this morning Nora was in a good mood and a little while and even better mood. You know as I look back it surprises me sometimes how I went for 5 years with no one to share my room my bed or my life. Having her and the children here has been such a blessing to me. I always pray that God gives me the ability to show them how much they mean to me.

Sometime today we are going to go to heritage Mall in Albany. After we get back home I need to go down to moms old house and tries to seal up a line on the countertop where 2 pieces of the Formica met. I talked to Dale out at Economy Supply and he said that’s what he would do.

The children are still in their rooms, I think maybe they stayed up late last night and are sleeping in this morning which is fine. Well, it was, I see my wife went in and woke them up.

November 18, 2011 11:00 AM Today is Friday and Nora will be working at Hamilton Creek school from 9:30 AM until 1 PM.

No about 5 AM this morning to use the restroom and then when she came back to bed she was flipping and flopping in fidgeting all over the place so I ended up getting up and left for McDonald’s before 6 AM. I took care of the trash and then had coffee.

I brought her a sausage egg McMuffin for breakfast and we left about 8:45 AM to go to Hamilton Creek school. We arrived there in about 9 AM so it ends up only being about a 15 min. drive from the house. I will leave about 12:30 PM to pick her up today.

I am trying to figure out how to restore the original settings for the children as users on the 24 inch iMac but I still have more to go I restored private accounts to them but so far have been unable to restore the original desktop that I set up for them. I know little bit but there’s a lot more to learn.

Lollie called me yesterday evening to let me know that they would not have a computer for a few days and she also told me she would send me the recipe for baking powder biscuits which she did I will make those when I decide to have biscuits and gravy.

We’ll see how the rest of the day unfolds I have no particular expectations at this point.

November 17, 2011 7:32 AM Thursday morning it's not raining yet but is coming! It's coming…

I woke this morning at about 6:14 AM and I was going to go to McDonald’s for coffee but stayed home out of concern that schools might call Nora for work and as I am her only method of transportation I wanted to be available for her I will go tomorrow.

Because she doesn’t have to be at Hamilton Creek until 9 AM.
She wants to check with the employment office today which is fine I don’t mind.

I am considering buying the groceries to make tacos for dinner tonight hopefully they will like them, it’s a pretty simple dish.

I will be going to Economy to pay the bill there today and return the caulking tube that I didn’t use for the bathroom tub trim.

Nora is having problems logging into FaceBook and just a moment ago could not even log into Safari even though we have connectivity to the router and the internet. Weird stuff.

We went to Wal★mart and then to Mega Foods.  After that we went to the Employment office to reset Nora’s password for ‘ImatchSkills’, their online database of jobs.  From there we went to the thrift stores to see if we could locate a used guitar case… no luck.

The lamp socket I got for the lamp behind the big screen is not the correct one, I will have to return it to Wal★mart and get the right one.

Went to Economy and paid $25 on my bill, I have a bal of $14 now to pay.

November 16, 2011 1:05 PM Today is Wednesday, it is blustery and rainy and nasty outside…

We woke and after Nora a little after 7 AM this morning laid in bed for a while then Nora got up and the kids had already left for school.

We messed around the house for a little bit this morning we both had our coffee and then about 9 AM we decided to have breakfast. In the interim time I downloaded the pictures from Facebook that Melba had posted and then imported them into Nora’s iPhoto and from there I reposted them to Facebook but into Nora’s photo album.

We just finished having lunch, I have been chatting with Lollie a little bit but now she is doing something else so I am just finishing up syncing the iPad and rearranging the pages, making folders and consolidating. I am down to 3 loaded pages and before I had 11 pages of applications so I think I’ve made some pretty good progress.

I don’t know what to expect when Kenneth comes home from school last night was certainly not a sterling evening for us. I hate being lied to and unfortunately he has a propensity for doing that.

Well it’s hump day today for all those who still punch a clock or have to go to a job. I can truly say that I miss working I miss the social interaction with customers especially now that I don’t manage to get down to McDonald’s every day for coffee I really miss that also. Well it’s now 1:11 PM, I bid you goodbye for now perhaps I’ll add more later.

November 15, 2011 7:37 AM Tuesday… the “biggest loser” will be on tonight.

I woke up at about 6:15 AM this morning and laid in bed wondering what the day would bring and what we would have to do. I know Nora wants to go out to the employment office and find out why her account was locked, I would imagine it was because she entered the wrong password.

Anyway coffee has arrived so I will enjoy that, perhaps turn on the morning show and see what’s happening around the globe. Not much exciting today.

November 14, 2011 11:11 AM Beginning of another week rainy and stormy weather.

We woke this morning to the sound of the phone ringing, it was the high school calling to see if Nora could work today. She accepted the position of course and then there was a flurry of activity as she got ready to go. We left the house at about 10 min. until 7 AM and I drove her to the high school, dropped her off, and went on to McDonald’s for coffee.

I left McDonald’s at about 8 AM then came back home took my medication and had some toast with peanut butter for breakfast. About 9:35 AM I left to go pick up Maria to take her to her doctors appointment. According to her, the doctor said her condition is pretty normal and overall she is quite healthy so she is now taking some antibiotics and seems to be getting better. We left the doctors office at about 10:45 AM and arrived home at 11 AM. I brought her with me to the house so she could visit with Nora for little while then I will take her back to her home.

Nora said she got a little bit wet on the walk home and she tried to tell me it took 45 min. to walk home but I told her she’s full of horse manure. It is only a 15 min. walk to the high school from here.

Not sure exactly what is going to transpire today, but I am sure that Nora will have something that we need to do. We will discuss that after I take Maria back home.

November 13, 2011 7:28 AM The Ducks won the game, Stanford goes down in flames…

Watching the game between the Oregon Ducks and the Stanford boys from California proved to be quite entertaining last night Oregon’s defense was doing a great job and the Stanford offense just couldn’t put it together. It was nice to see an Oregon came win again and knock Stanford off the top pinnacle.

We got up about 7:15 AM this morning Nora then made coffee and I am here catching up on my journal. It will be amazing if anyone ever reads this journal, I know that Pete reads it once in a while but to me it would seem rather mundane and lean towards the boring. Many of my days are just repetitions of one’s gone past sometimes something interesting happens or I may put out some thought that peaks another persons curiosity. Basically it’s just a collection of random thoughts offbeat opinions and other nonsense.

Not sure what’s going to happen yet today, will see how it rolls out as time goes on. Probably will end up going to church, Nora asked me about that last night and I was a little evasive.

Looks as though we will be going to church today. I know how much it means to Nora so I go. Maybe I won’t go inside, I don’t know yet.

We got to church and I decided to go ahead and attend service. Food was okay and I even took communion.

From there we stopped at mega-foods and picked up some grocery items and after that we went out to Walmart and bought Kenneth a coat for winter and bought Joyce some leggings and a few other grocery items to include 2 dozen cans of cream of mushroom soup because we use it a lot. It started to drizzle while we were there and rain is expected later on this afternoon with another storm front coming in on Wednesday.

Back home and most of the groceries are put away Nora and the children are eating lunch, I had a hard-boiled egg and some low-fat berry yogurt. I think we are finished going out for the rest of the day.

November 12, 2011 8:22 AM Saturday.. the family wants to go to GoodWill again today...

Nora and I got up about 7:30 AM this morning the day looks pretty nice so far this guy is pretty clear that there is a storm coming that will probably hit this afternoon and with it will come an abundant amount of rainfall.

I took my medication this morning and will make some oatmeal shortly to have for breakfast. Kenneth is going to hard boil some eggs and I’ll have one of them was my dinner this evening. Joyce is on the 24 inch iMac doing Facebook and Nora is on the iPad doing the same thing. I try to avoid it as much as possible.

I’m not sure exactly what the family is going to look for at Goodwill, but I am sure that they will find something, Kenneth needs to buy a heavier coat for this winter and possibly some more long pants as when the temperature drops and the wind picks up he is going to be very cold if he doesn’t get some different clothing.

Lollie sent me an e-mail and suggested that for the Thanksgiving day stuffing that I use some fresh sage and perhaps a cup or so of wine in the recipe… other than that she thought it looked good. Well it is now 8:30 AM and time for me to fix my breakfast we will continue the thoughts at a later time.

We left the house at about 10:30 AM this morning and drove downtown and check with 3 different salons who are getting Joyce’s hair cut and Nora’s styling and permanent wave. We ended up getting Joyce’s hair cut after we got back from Albany and the goodwill. It cost $18.

We came back home and had some lunch and have been taking it easy most of the afternoon. Nora has been putting in more job applications… it’s really too bad that they don’t have one application that is universal to all jobs but they don’t.

Kenneth is in the process of preparing something for dinner I’m not sure what you’re going to have but I looked in the sink and I saw some pork defrosting so I’m sure will involve that. Just a little bit ago they baked some cinnamon rolls and I had one.

Jurors bought a belt at Goodwill and I need to shorten it for her by taking a few links out of it and I will do that after supper. I keep down the shower curtain in our bathroom and have it soaking in some bleach and then later after dinner I will run it through the washer and rehang it.

November 11, 2011 8:33 AM Veterans Day today and it started out very foggy…

I got up at about 6 AM this morning and went down to McDonald’s to have coffee. Before I left there I picked up for apple pies to take home to the family.

Pete, a friend of mine, mentioned that I’m putting on weight… that just reinforces my desire to go back to diet and lose some again, I would like to get down to about 200 pounds.

After I got home, about 8 AM, Kenneth and I went down to the barbershop and I got him a haircut for $15. He mentioned on the way home that he wanted to buy some hair gel so we will probably go to Walmart later on today.

I also need to go to the economy supply and see about getting something to seal the countertop at the rental house.

Nora and Joyce are dusting and vacuuming the house right now. I am going to take a shower curtain down and prepare it for washing.

I heard this morning that Auntie Marie is not feeling well and had called in sick so Nora is chatting to her now to see what is wrong and if we can be of assistance to her...

••• We went to see Maria, Melba was there so we got to visit with both of them for awhile, after a bit, we went to Wal★mart where Kenneth got some deodorant and hair gel for his new haircut.

Back home now, it is 12:52 PM and they are eating lunch.

I had 6 of the breakfast sausages (no breakfast) then 1 small handfull of raisins about 4:30pm.

Nora is preparing dinner now, I am going to use the salad plate from now on and no seconds.

My dinner was a scoop of white rice, ½ slice of meatloaf and some spinach greens and about ¼ of an acorn squash.

I had nothing further after dinner so that is a good start on my dieting.

Went to the bedroom about 9pm to watch “King of The Hill”.  Nora came shortly thereafter.

Thursday, November 10, 2011

November 10, 2011 7:56 AM Today is Thursday I need to go to the renters…

Nora told me a white lie this morning, we were lying there in bed and she told me it was 9 AM we had to get up so we got up and I got dressed and had coffee and I just look at the clock and it just only now 7:58 AM. She will pay for that tonight (heh, heh, heh).

She told me that her and the children want to go downtown and look around today, which is fine but I need to be at the renter’s house at 2 PM to look at the countertop and also the light switch that controls the garage lights.

It is foggy outside and only 3°C. It will be a while before it warms up.

We headed downtown about 10:20 this morning, I went to the bank and got cash, gave each kid $10 and Nora $20 and told them to have fun, I then went to a little bakery/coffee shop and had some coffee and a carmel roll. After about an hour, I tracked them down, they could not find anything that they wanted.

We then stopped at Mega Mart on the way home to pick up some stuff for the Mac and cheese I will make tomorrow and also some stuff for a fruit salad (at least that is what Nora calls it) and back home… the fruit salad is literally swimming in Nestles cream and whipped creme and is not at all appealing… the fruit salad that we typically make here in the States is much different than what they make there in the Philippines. I prefer ours by a stretch.

I and Kenneth (he chopped the hot pepper) threw together tonight’s meatloaf, has good ingredients to include a Jimmy Dean sausage loaf buried in the middle of it. It will cook for about 1.45 minutes I think and then I will test the temp with the thermometer.

I went to the Renters house, a very nice couple, found the light in the garage is just a loose plug not the switch, looked at the counter top and will get some sealer Monday at Economy or maybe tomorrow and seal a little stretch of it. They think there is too much draft in the house so I told them do the smudge pot thing with a candle and locate the drafty areas then we will attempt to eliminate them. They are anxious at least she is anxious to try the fireplace… it will be cleaned next week.

We just finished dinner, the internal temp of the pork roll in the middle of the meatloaf really didn’t seem to get as hot as I would have liked… The meatloaf was good but I am anal about pork and chicken. Next time I will either reduce the size of the pork hot dog or I will make the meatloaf the way I used to by incorporating the pork entirely with the ground beef. Generated a lot of fat also… That, I could easily do without...

November 9, 2011 8:29 AM Today we get to have lunch with Claudine, I am excited.

We woke up before 7 AM this morning and the 2 of us decided to be a little “frisky”. We were up and having copied by about 7:10 AM.

Nor was having trouble with the kids iMac so I decided to shut it down and then started back up and repair permissions. Hopefully that will eliminate the problems. I typically will not blame the iMac for things that happen on Yahoo messenger as messenger appears to be a poorly written application as far as it’s use with Apple products.

I also decided to repair permissions on the 27 inch iMac as I have not done that since I bought it.

Kenneth, unfortunately, when there’s nobody around to watch him gets very curious about things and start sub applications and digs around in places he shouldn’t which creates issues at times that I have to go back and fix. Here’s a very curious boy which will probably take him far in the world but which will also provide him with some tense moments.

The kids iMac is in the process of finishing up the permissions repair. When it is done I will see if it operates properly again.

After repairing persmissions a few times and restarting the iMac, all seems to be working as I had hoped.

I repaired them on the big computer also and just now re-installed Flash player by Adobe in hopes that it will work properly again.

Nora and I are just about ready to leave to have lunch with Claudine.

We got to Claudine’s house and picked her up and from there we drove down to the Mexican restaurant to have lunch. It is one of her and my favorite places to eat. This was a new experience for Nora as she has never had Mexican food before. She really enjoyed it too. We had a great lunch at a great visit together.

From there we came home and did some domestic things, the children were already home as Wednesday’s early release day. They don’t have school tomorrow or Friday either sword will be a nice long boring weekend for them. I guess tomorrow Nora and the children want to go on a walk around town and shop at the various stores shall that will be something for them.

Tonight we basically watch television and Nora and the children did some surfing on the Internet and Facebook. The show “South Pacific Survivor” was on so at 8 PM I decided to go to bed and and watch something else. Surprisingly, Nora came in shortly afterwards.

November 8, 2011 7:43 AM Today is Tuesday, the “Biggest Loser” comes on…

We got up at about 6:45 AM this morning it was already light outside, Joyce was at the computer and Kenneth was in the bathroom getting ready to leave for school. Nora plugged in the coffee pot and soon we had coffee to drink and news to read.

Nora just made me an English muffin which I happen to really enjoy, for breakfast.

As we watched the news this morning we hear many stories that are disappointing as they portray the actions of people which are disgusting and deplorable. The one that captured my attention this morning was about a little 2-year-old boy who was left in the car on the highway as his mother and older son walked supposedly to get a can of gas. When the mother returned to the car the 2-year-old son was missing. Her and her husband have a history of problems and poor parenting. I suspect that the baby boy will be found but likely not alive.

It seems that this voice recognition program works better if you talk a little bit faster and in a continuous sentence especially if you’ve already trained it.

I sent Lollie an e-mail with the link regarding editing pictures using iPhoto. Hopefully it will enhance your ability to edit photos without buying third-party applications like I did.

After a while, Nora and I will probably check on some of the jobs that she applied for here in town. She is very impatient and really wants to work full-time. I am having difficulty convincing her that working for the school district would be by far the best job.

Nora and I went down town, stopped on the way at a little thrift store next to the barbershop at the end of Walker rd and Hwy 20. She picked up a bunch of bargain sweaters and sweatshirts for .25 a piece. We then went to the UPS and I checked on that number in the phone… they knew nothing.

We then drove thru town and back home and had lunch, I had a grilled cheese and Nora had cold cereal.

Just finished talking to Lollie and Gareth on the phone, sadly they seem to misplace their iPhones all the time so I had to call their home phone… drat !!!

November 7, 2011 6:14 AM Nora's first work day here in the States...

Woke up about 5:25am, went to the bathroom then back to bed, the alarm went off at 5:55 and we both got up, Nora started the coffee and after it was done, I poured it and cleaned the pot.

I told her to take her purse today, I am assuming the kitchen has some place for employee’s personal stuff like that.

I will go to McDonald's for coffee after I drop her off then at 8am I will call Dr. Thayers office to see if I can get in to have this boil taken care of.

I dropped Nora off at the High School about 6:50am. The last time I saw her, she was smiling at me and wearing a red apron… I hope she likes this position.

I just called Dr. Thayer’s office and made an appointment for 2pm today to have this boil on the back of my neck attended to.
Checked on the Vonage bill, it seems pretty accurate and you cannot beat only .09 cents a minute for calling to the Philippines.
In a few moments, I will go to pick up my lovely wife from the High School.

Del stopped by, wanted some information on the 4 wire brake controller that is on his pickup, he bought a 17’ fifth wheel trailer in washington and will be going after it probably on Wednesday.
Nora liked her first days work, said that it was way easy.

We left here about 1:10pm to go to Dr. Thayer’s office, we got in quickly and after a cursory investigation, the good Doc declared the volcano residing on my neck to be NOT a boil, but rather an infected or dysfunctional gland.

He tried to urge it to a head with gentle pressure but ended up telling me that he needed to surgically exhume the little bugger.  We then went to the end of the hall to a room that would allow for minor surgical procedures and the nurse laid out the torture tools.

Dr. came in and injected me (by far the most painful part of the ordeal) and then proceeded to pare, puncture, cajole and otherwise extract a mess of stuff about the size of a 10 yr old boy’s marble… he packed the cavern that had housed the varmit with about 2” of packing rope and then covered the incision with gauze and a bandaid all the while telling Nora that in 24hrs she would need to pull out about a quarter inch of the packing and then re bandage the area after applying a little triple antibiotic creme.  it will take a week to get all the rope out I think…

He also said that showers are ok as long as I don’t stand with my neck under the spray constantly.

We then stopped at the Franz bakery and bought $22 of bread then off to Staples to buy some of the pens that I like that I got from Gareth.

Sunday, November 6, 2011

November 6, 2011 8:00 AM Today we will go to church…

We got up at about 8:15 AM (considering the time change) after a rather interesting night.

Nora had one of her I can’t sleep moments about 12:30 AM this morning, accompanied by the thrashing and turning and twitching that she typically does. She refuses to believe that she does that. I wish I had some way to film it and show her because I know that she doesn’t sub–consciously and thus cannot remember doing it.

The biggest problem is that I am a very light sleeper and it doesn’t take much of anything to wake me up when she is a very “rough” sleeper and does not move gently when turning over or changing position. It amazes me that she refuses to believe that she does those things, like why would I lie to her?

I set back clocks on the following devices clocked by the back door, oven, microwave, mirror clock and my Dale Earnhardt Junior clock. Nora still needs to set back the clock on her little alarm clock and Joyce also needs to do it on her clock. I wish they would eliminate daylight savings time and just stick to one time all year round like most of the other states do.

I will ferry the family to the Catholic Church, but I don’t believe that I will attend.

We will see how the rest of the day unfolds after church.

Saturday, November 5, 2011

November 5, 2011 9:17 AM Saturday morning, damp and dreary…

I didn’t sleep well last night so I stayed in bed until about 8:15 AM this morning. I then got up and prepared waffles for the family… this is the 1st time the Joyce were Kenneth have had them and they seemed to really enjoy them.

Not sure what today will bring, but it is likely that Nora will have something she wants to do. We are washing the sheets and pillowcases off of the bed now.

About 3:45 Nora and I went to MegaFoods to get some tomatoes for the fish and also an egg plant for dinner tonight.

We are currently looking at some dog breeds to get some idea of what kind of dog we might want… I want to check to see what kinds of dogs are being given away…

We had steamed talapia for dinner with veggies and also the remainder of the macaroni salad that Nora made yesterday… pretty good, and of course, we had rice too !!!

Gonna watch some TV, it is now 6:46 PM and I want to close this journal for the night… See you tomorrow

Friday, November 4, 2011

November 4, 2011 7:37 AM T.G.I.F again… November is starting out well.

I woke up at about 7 AM this morning. I was laying there thinking about my neck and how I may have acquired the boil and wondering if perhaps it might have been a spider bite. After I got up I took off the tape and a cotton ball and when I looked at the cotton bowl there was a number of spots of blood on it. That tends to make me believe that it has come to a head Begun to drain.

Starting the day off with a smile is always a good idea, that’s not to say that it’s always possible but it is always a good idea.

I’m not sure exactly what the weather forecast is for today, but if I remember correctly the high is only supposed to be in the 40° area about 46° I believe.

As Joyce was leaving for school she asked me if I could take a poster board with some papers taped on it to school for her at lunch time and I told her yes of course we could do that.

I’m not sure exactly what Nora wants to do today, but I know that she needs to get enrolled in the SAL SYSTEM.

We also need to go to this Wells Fargo bank so she could pick up her new credit card… actually it is a debit card.

At about12:30 PM w left the house and took the poster board to Joyce’s school. After that we went down to Wells Fargo bank and picked up nor is new debit card and had it activated. Then she decided she wanted to go look in some of the secondhand clothing stores, and ended up buying for new tops.

I had called Crocker cars to inquire about the 2nd key for the Impala and Corey informed me that they didn’t have one. I told him that if they would pay to have one made I would give him the 2nd key for the Mini Cooper which otherwise would cost him about $400 to have made. He jumped on that idea. (A good choice I thought).

My neck is really bothering me the carbuncle or boil those on the back is very irritating now and I will probably have to go to Dr. Thayer to have it lanced and drained. It is the 1st one I’ve ever had.

We eventually made it back home and after a little bit the kids started drifting back from school. We had some broiled beef spareribs for dinner, they were not tender but broiling meat does not make it tender.

After dinner we watched some TV Nora played some poker games then about 9 PM I went to bed to watch some “King of the Hill” and then some “Family Guy”. My neck is really sore. Good night…

Thursday, November 3, 2011

November 3, 2011 8:17 AM Thursday, raining… probably all day

After putting on the salve and bandage, my carbuncle on the back of my neck giving me some pain. I want Nora to take off the bandage and see if it came to a head yet.

I got up this morning early, about 5:30am and went to McDonald's for coffee. Back home with a sausage egg biscuit for Nora by 7:30am.

Not too sure what we will do today, probably go check on her ‘iMatchSkills’ stuff at the employment office and I will see if Linn Benton College has a local english immersion class available that Nora could take.

We went to 7 Oaks and I dropped off my acoustic guitar with Joyce’s band teacher so the kids can use it to learn to play.

From there we stopped at Crockers to say hi to the Mini… Corey said they are wholesaling it to another dealer… I hope it gets a good home.

Then we went to Wal★mart and got the printer cartridge and a couple of boxes of cheezits that were on sale.

Back home and had some leftover from last nights party dinner for Joyce. Not bad.

Nora decided not to go to the ‘iMatchSkills’ employment office today, said she would rather go tomorrow morning… we will see, she is generally not too motivated first thing in the morning.

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

November 2, 2011 7:41 AM Today is Wednesday, early release day for the kids…

We woke up this morning at about 7:15 AM and got up, Nora made coffee and it’s sitting here on the desk waiting for me. We have a couple places to go today and we need to do grocery shopping so that they will be somewhat full at least this morning will be.

It is overcast outside and foggy but no rain as of yet.

We went to Wal★mart to shop, dropped about $130 there and then to Mega Foods and another $150. Got home and unloaded the car then I went to Rhodes Warden and updated the insurance info, dropping the Mini and putting on the Chev.

Went to Good Sam Hospital and paid the bill of $167… we will have more with Nora’s last two appointments and then the kids appt. on the 23rd.

Went also to Economy and got a couple of the oven mitts they had on sale…

Nora is preparing dinner, and trying to make some rosemary chicken and unfortunately, she doesn’t always read the instructions thoroughly or comprehend them completely. This dinner should be interesting at least.

The chicken turned out surprisingly good, the Talapia fish was good and so was the cake for Joyce. Everyone had a good time, I didn’t know that Melba does not eat chicken or most meats.

Off to bed now...

November 1, 2011 7:55 AM My goodness this is now one November the year is quickly coming to an end and we are looking forward to our California trip.

I woke up this morning a little before 7:30 AM I got up and made coffee and Nora is up now it’s about 7:50 AM. Joyce was just getting ready to leave as I came out from the bedroom. I checked the heat on the thermostat and it was only 63° so I told Joyce “tomorrow morning when you get up you need to turn the heat on and I will show you how.”

When I opened the drapes in the living room, I saw nothing but fog outside, no mountain. Winter is seriously peeking around the corner.

We don’t have much to do this morning but we will leave this afternoon about 1 PM for Nora’s Dr. appointment in Albany. I know that she is worried about it she hasn’t said too much but I can tell.

I am also concerned about her weight, she says that she still weighs about 100 pounds but I cannot see the weight on her so I am going to make her step on the scales.

Regarding weight I am also concerned about my own, I noticed that I am snoring more frequently know and I remember that when I had lost weight when I was in Basud in the Philippines and had dropped down below 200 pounds my snoring all but disappeared so I need to stay away from the candies away from the bread and the crackers and the chips and all the other stuff that piles weight on, and be more dedicated in my quest to lose.

I think I will drink my coffee now then check for mail, read the news and get the day started.
